About the Role:
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for running the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health.
Your Day to Day:
- Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
- Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
- Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
- Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
- Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives
- Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications.
- Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions
- Measure and optimize system performance to push our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovate to improve continually
- Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large distributed software applications
- Conducting post-incident reviews and also incident reports for customers
Your experience includes:
- Bachelor degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of hands-on Linux administration experience, we use mostly Ubuntu
- 3 + years of cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc., we use AWS)
- 2 + years of IaC and configuration management experience, we use Terraform and Ansible
- 2 + years CI/CD experience, we use Jenkins but are moving to GitLab CI
- 1+ years Kubernetes experience, we use EKS
- 1+years MongoDB experience, currently self-hosted
- Experience to run Node.js based applications
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
- Confident in giving training/workshops
- Values good practices
- SDLC knowledge is a plus
